Celebrating 12 Years of Chaputa!

For 12 years, we’ve been on a mission: to spread great music without selling out to corporate trends or industry-driven sales tactics. Independent labels like ours exist for one simple reason—because music deserves to be heard, shared, and loved. It’s not always easy, but we wouldn’t have it any other way!

Some might ask, why celebrate 12 years? Well, keeping an independent label alive isn’t just hard work—it’s a small miracle. Every release, every record, every supporter along the way has made this journey possible. We’re still here, and that’s something to be proud of!

Looking back, it’s almost surreal—what started as something fun and full of passion is still going strong 12 years later. Maybe that’s the real lesson: we should celebrate every single day. Because making it this far, against all odds, is already a reason to turn up the volume and keep pushing forward!

Now, as we kick off our 13th year, we’re also approaching a huge milestone—our 100th release! We’ve got something special in the works, but for now, it’s time to celebrate how far we’ve come.

A huge THANK YOU to the incredible bands who trusted us with their music, the record stores that keep the scene alive, and every single person who has picked up a Chaputa! release—some of you since day one! You’re the reason we keep pushing forward.

The world might feel crazier than ever, but music keeps us going. We may be a small label, but we put everything we’ve got into every release, hoping it reaches and inspires people everywhere.

So let’s celebrate! This month, grab some records, rock our free T-shirt, frame the special A2 anniversary poster, and blast our official birthday release: BLOWERS – Blowmania LP, followed in May by The (Early) Maggots compilation. And there’s more to come!
