Chaputa! Records is thrilled to announce the long-awaited LP release of the original soundtrack for John Michael McCarthy’s cult classic film, “Superstarlet A.D.”

“Superstarlet A.D.” is a masterpiece in the erotic Beauty Cult genre, weaving a tale of intrigue and empowerment against a post-apocalyptic backdrop. Following the captivating journey of Brunette Naomi and her lover Rachel, viewers are drawn into a perilous world where they seek Naomi’s grandmother’s lost burlesque film. Along the way, they encounter formidable adversaries, including the platinum blonde PHAYRAYS, ruthless brunette SATANAS, and the tempestuous TEMPESTS. Amidst the chaos, they must uphold the cardinal rule of Superstarlet A.D.—“Thou shalt not kill another woman”—while forging their own identities.

Set in a world where testosterone is scarce and female-only tribes reign supreme, “Superstarlet A.D.” showcases a vibrant battle for dominance among Blonde Bad Girls, Brunette Bombshells, and Redhead Vixens. The film’s vivid homage to 1960s and 70s exploitation cinema, complete with exaggerated costumes and tongue-in-cheek humor, has earned it a dedicated cult following.

This LP release marks the third collaboration between John Michael McCarthy and Chaputa! Records, following the successful releases of “The Sore Losers” and “Teenage Tupelo.” McCarthy is a luminary in underground cult cinema, celebrated for his ability to blend subversive storytelling with the rebellious spirit of rock and roll. His films pay homage to the iconic bad girls of cinema’s past while capturing the essence of retro-kitsch aesthetics.

Adding to its allure, the “Superstarlet A.D.” soundtrack on LP features a deluxe gatefold black vinyl release adorned with sleeve and centrefold “cat-fight” illustrations by Rui Ricardo. With its feminist undertones and homage to cinematic rebellion, this soundtrack is a must-have for fans and collectors alike.
